With a vision to ‘Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators’, Atal Innovation Mission is establishing Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) in schools across India. The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity, and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc.

Promoting entrepreneurship: AIM aims to transform innovators into successful entrepreneurs by providing a platform for ideas to be generated, supported, and mentored.
Fostering innovation: It develops programs to cultivate an innovative mindset, particularly in schools, through initiatives like Atal Tinkering Labs.
Mentor of Change program: This initiative connects skilled professionals with young innovators and startups to provide mentorship and guidance.
ARISE (Atal Rural Innovation Scheme): This program encourages innovation in rural areas by launching challenges to address specific sector needs.
Incubation centers: The mission supports the establishment of Atal Incubation Centres to nurture startups from the idea stage to becoming successful enterprises.
